From the Author This book was inspired by my work with Jails to Jobs, Inc., a San Francisco Bay Area based nonprofit that is part of the Global Homeboy Network and dedicated to equipping previously incarcerated and formerly gang-involved individuals with the tools and resources they need to find employment and successfully re-enter the workforce. Our newest venture is in the area of tattoo removal, as anti-social and gang-related tattoos are the ultimate "job stoppers." We maintain a directory of more than 250 free and low-cost tattoo removal programs in 43 states on our website and have created a how-to guide and outreach program that teaches doctors, clinics, hospitals and tattoo removal specialists how to create a free or low-cost community-based program to perform tattoo removals.
